Gyokushin-Ryu Ninpo (The Jeweled Heart School of Perseverance)

Not much is known about the fighting style of the Gyokushin-Ryu Ninpo. The system concentrated on more of the espionage and spying (Cho Ho) skills than on hand-to-hand combat. It is also known for its use of sutemi (sacrifice) throws. It is believed that, the founder, Sasaki Goemon, was originally from the Gyokko-Ryu Kosshijutsu or that the techniques of Gyokushin-Ryu Ninpo are based on the Gyokko-Ryu Kosshijutsu. Gyokushin-Ryu Ninpo was founded in the mid 1500’s. Some of the weapons used, include nagenawa, kusari fundo, kusarigama, kyoketsu shoge, oh gama, konpei and shikomizue.
